Analysis of pulsations in retinal image data
Plavcová, Daniela ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
Analysis of pulsation in retinal image data can be used to early diagnose of glaucoma. With the record of experimental videoophthalmocope and subsequent segmentation of optic disc the pulsation curves from various parts of optic disc were evaluated and the dependence between brightness, PAA and RNFL parameters was compared.
Classification and analysis of retinal blood vessel pulsations
Kamar, Yana ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the pulsation of the vascular bed on the retina. The goal was to automatically extract the pulsation curve (venous and arterial) from the fundus video, to find the diagnostically significant parameters of these curves and to propose algorithm for evaluating the parameters. The following method was chosen for venous pulsation: the area of the vessel and its surroundings was automatically selected inside the optical disc, the brightness of this area was averaged. For arterial: the brightness of the background of the vessels around the optic disc is averaged. Research was conducted on the topic of parameters to which the work will be devoted. The result is a set of pulse curves of both types. Conducted examination of the parameters of these curves (specifically amplitude). It is also possible to examine the phase shift of the curves relative to each other.
Visualization and analysis of retinal pulsatile phenomena
Plavcová, Daniela ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Retinal blood flow can be a reflection of the state of the vascular system, but it can also indicate changes in intracranial pressure. For that reason, video sequences are taken from the retina, which can be processed to examine this area. This work deals with the analysis and visualization of pulsations on the retina, representing the change in light attenuation during one hearth cycle, and the search for suitable parameters describing connections and differences between data, whether in the form of signals, images or video sequences.
